Thomas A. Wester

Thomas A. Wester's practice includes the handling of cases involving product liability, premises liability and motor vehicles.  Tom has represented many manufacturers of products in cases arising out of workplace accidents as well as employers who are being sued by an employee alleging an exception to the compensation bar.  He also defends cases on behalf of a carrier that insures commercial vehicles and is often involved in the investigation of trucking accidents prior to the commencement of litigation.  He has defended numerous cases on behalf of general contractors and subcontractors in connection with injuries sustained on the construction site.

Tom first started with McDermott & McGee in 1981 while in law school and returned in 1983 after completing his clerkship with the Hon. John W. Fritz, J.A.D. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.  In 1991 he became a partner at the firm.

Over the years Tom has tried many cases involving catastrophic injuries and death.  He has argued many cases in the appellate courts and has handled cases from trial through the Supreme Court of New Jersey.  He is an active litigator and a former Barrister of the Richard J. Hughes Inns of Court.
