PUBLIC ENTITY LIABILITY AND CIVIL RIGHTS

For a number of years, our firm has represented public entities in both the Superior Court of New Jersey as well as the United States District Court with regard to a wide array of claims.  Our firm has defended local governments against claims of excessive force by police; improper police pursuit; inadequate traffic control devices; negligent road design; failure to maintain roadways and real property; and alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.  We have also defended claims alleging denial of an individual's civil rights by a public entity under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 as well as other federal law.
